Through her innovative company, Shift Education ( http://www.shift-education.com ), Jessica works tirelessly to foster empathy, safety, and understanding between people in the Lower Mainland.
Jessica provides “Askable Adult” workshops at community centres and preschools, which provide parents with tools for navigating the tricky area of sexual health and Internet safety for children and youth. She also works with caregivers, staff members, and clients of the Down Syndrome Society and Developmental Disabilities Association to foster health and appropriate sexual expression. In 2013, Jessy facilitated workshops for the Sto:lo First Nation, and at the BC Association of First Nations Youth Forum. As a settler, Jessy recognizes her privilege and strives to leverage it in creating healing and reconciliation from the pain of colonization and abuse.
Jessy is a remarkable woman!
